MGET Cart Speed golf cart with speedometer logo
For your golf cart and road vehicles.

Choose your view

Easy to see.
Simple to make yours.

01

Big digits. A clear view.

Choose a digital display with numbers that fit the available screen. Rotate your phone and use Focus mode to give the speed reading as much room as possible.

02

Prefer a needle?

Switch to an analogue gauge with a numeric speed inside. In landscape, the larger dial uses nearly the full usable height, with trip controls, GPS and battery details around it. Golf-cart and truck ranges expand when needed.

03

Set your own speed limit.

Choose a maximum speed in km/h or mph. Both displays turn red above the limit. A short alarm repeats until you slow down.

04

Choose the sound you hear.

Choose the built-in alarm, a spoken Slow down reminder, or an MP3 from your phone. Optional GPS signal lost speech warns once per outage. Both voices work offline. Allow Bluetooth for alerts follows your selected media output. Turn it off for phone-speaker alerts while Bluetooth stays connected (Android 9+). Test sound lets you check the volume while parked: Media with Bluetooth allowed, Alarm with Bluetooth off.

05

Readable day or night.

Choose day/night switching by the phone’s light sensor or your preferred local times, or select Night, Day or Amber manually. Light-sensor mode offers three sensitivity levels and falls back to the schedule if unavailable. Set separate day and night brightness levels, or keep your phone’s brightness setting. Changes apply only inside the app.

06

A log for your road vehicles.

Switch between vehicles, add a photo and VIN, and record fuel, maintenance and other expenses. Save offline, then optionally sync with your account. Fuel economy uses full-tank odometer intervals, including partial fills. Add station names and locations or reuse saved stations; use receipt OCR to suggest entry details from one photo or several overlapping sections. Review the results before saving.

07

See your battery at a glance.

Connect a compatible Daly Bluetooth BMS for a graphical State of Charge dial, pack voltage, current and power. Open Battery for cell readings, temperatures and reported alarm messages, alongside your speedometer.

Speed alerts

A reminder
to ease off.

Open Settings → Speed alert, enable the alert, and choose your maximum speed. Choose the built-in alarm, Spoken: Slow down, or a downloaded MP3 from your phone.

How the alert works

  • The speed turns red above your limit, using GPS speed or the simulated speed in driving demo.
  • After one second above the limit, a short sound repeats every five seconds.
  • Custom audio starts at the beginning and plays for up to three seconds each time.
  • Slowing to the limit or below stops the warning. Leaving the app stops the alert too; in GPS mode, losing a valid reading also stops it.

Alerts start switched off, with a suggested starting value of 25 km/h (about 15.5 mph). Set a limit that suits where you drive. A spoken Slow down option and an independent GPS signal-loss announcement are available. GPS speech plays once per loss, five seconds after the last usable fix; it stays quiet during initial acquisition, demo, settings and background use. Preview it with Test GPS warning. Use Allow Bluetooth for alerts to choose your output. On follows your selected media device and uses Media volume. Off requests the phone speaker and uses Alarm volume, without disconnecting Bluetooth or asking your music to pause (Android 9+). If speaker-only output is unavailable, sound stops and the visual warning remains. Your choice is saved. Try driving demo from the settings hub or Speed alert page to preview your saved limit and sound. Use Test sound while parked. The phone volume buttons in the app adjust the volume for your selected alert output.

Battery monitoring · new since 1.9

Your battery,
in view.

Keep an eye on one connected battery from the same app. A coloured State of Charge dial, red needle and percentage marker make charge easy to read; individual cell tiles show the detail underneath.

CHARGE

The main measurements.

State of Charge, voltage, current, calculated power, remaining capacity in Ah and cycle count. Charge, discharge and balancing indicators show the states reported by the BMS.

CELLS

See the whole pack.

Individual cell voltages, minimum, maximum, average and voltage spread. View battery temperature sensors, sensor count and MOS temperature when available.

BATTERY DETAILS

Alarms and identity.

Readable alarm and status messages from supported Daly D2 batteries, plus software and hardware versions, the battery serial number and a separate SN code when supported.

A connection you can follow.

Scanning filters for recognised BMS identifiers to reduce unrelated Bluetooth devices. Your selected battery is remembered, with automatic reconnection while the monitor is open or a trip is recording. Live, stale and disconnected states make it clear when a reading was last received.

Save a battery report to keep measurements and connection details for troubleshooting. Reports stay on your phone until you choose to share them.

Check compatibility.

Tested with a 16-cell Daly D2 Bluetooth BMS used by SMART BMS. Support depends on the BMS and Bluetooth module, not just the battery brand or lithium chemistry. This is not universal support for all lithium batteries.

Monitoring reads battery data only: it does not change protection settings, switch charging or discharging, control balancing, or update firmware. Reported battery alarms appear on screen and in exports; they do not create sound or background notifications. Multiple-pack aggregation is not included.

Optional trip recording & history

Your trips.
Over time.

The optional MGET Cart backend adds a private place for trip statistics, speed-limit episodes, battery trends and recorded paths. Accounts are invitation-only. The server supports Google and organization SSO, plus SMTP, Microsoft Entra application email or the shared MGET Email service once configured.

Record now. Sync when connected.

Tap Start trip on the speedometer or battery screen, optionally record the GPS route, and use Finish trip when done. Readings stay on your phone when there is no Internet and survive closing the app. In Settings → Server & sync, enter and verify your HTTPS server, then approve the phone in your browser or use a pairing code. Sync now uploads saved readings when the server is reachable; automatic sync is optional. You can remove phone copies after confirmed sync while keeping server history. During an active trip, a foreground service keeps GPS and connected battery recording running through calls, other apps and screen locking. An ongoing notification offers Finish trip. Force stop, reboot and device power restrictions can still interrupt recording; saved readings remain on the phone.

One drive or a whole journey.

Keep individual drives, or group outward and return drives into a journey. The backend shows separate or combined route maps, distance, recorded time, breaks between drives and estimated stopped time. Filter history by cart or vehicle and choose and reorder overview cards. Stopped time is estimated from GPS; it does not prove engine idling. Fuel, maintenance and expense records stay with their vehicle.

Source and version archive

Cart Speed, BMS Test and the Docker backend are tracked together under MGET. Development source, test APK versions, checksums and Docker packages have their own clearly marked dev section.

Quick start

Download.
Open. Drive.

Set up the app while parked. GPS accuracy varies by phone and surroundings, especially at low speeds.

  1. Open the APK on your phone.

If Android asks, allow your browser or Files app to install this download, then choose Install. If MGET Cart Speed is already installed, choose Update. Install over the existing app to retain settings and saved recordings; do not uninstall or clear app storage.

  2. Allow precise location.

Select Precise location and While using the app. Turn on your phone's Location setting and start outdoors with a clear view of the sky.

  3. Choose your display.

Tap the screen for controls. Open Settings to select Digital or Analogue and choose units and colours, and try Focus for the largest reading.

  4. Connect your battery, if supported.

Close SMART BMS or other battery apps first. Turn on Bluetooth, open Battery in Cart Speed, allow Nearby devices if prompted, then scan and select your battery while nearby. Connect inside the app; Android Bluetooth pairing is not required. Start a trip to keep tracking while using other apps.

  5. Record and sync a trip, if you choose.

Tap Start trip on the main monitor. Finish the trip when your drive is done. For online history, connect your own server in Settings → Server & sync, approve the phone, and choose Sync now when connected. Saved recordings remain on the phone until confirmed upload and your selected cleanup policy allow removal.

  6. Set up your optional speed alert.

Enable it in Settings → Speed alert, set your limit, and test the built-in or custom sound before driving. Keep custom audio downloaded on the phone.

Version 1.31 (build 33) is the current personal test APK. It includes receipt scanning, vehicle logs, journey recording and a direct link to server history. Vehicle switching and profile editing are under Vehicle options, with focused fuel, maintenance and expense sections. Offline saving and optional account sync remain available. The speedometer, battery monitor and trip controls remain available. Phone reports confirm battery measurements, identity and SN reads, the no-active-alarm state and automatic reconnection on the tested battery. Active fault messages were checked using simulated data; compatibility and audio behaviour can vary by device.
